Who are Skilled Workers?
Skilled Workers are people who may become permanent residents because they are able to become economically established in Canada based on their educational and occupational background. Please check the new list of occupations eligible to be processed without Arranged Employment. All other must go to our AEO page.
To be accepted as a Skilled Worker, all candidates must:
-meet the work experience, educational and official language requirements;
-prove that they have the funds required for settlement; and
-earn enough points in the 6 selection factors to meet the pass mark.
Canadian Experience Class is for temporary foreign worker or a foreign student who graduated in Canada, and who have the qualities to make a successful transition from temporary to permanent residence
IMPORTANT BACKGROUND INFO: As of June 26, 2011, the Canadian Government changed several aspects of Foreign Workers regulations, regarding amount of applicants to be processed, and established the list of 29 occupations... which is even shorter than previous one. These are various programs to address new applicants' needs:
1.CANADA SKILLED WORKER JOB OFFER PROGRAM
This program is ideal for clients who require a validated job offer to relocate to Canada but not able to visit Canada for interviews and/or direct contacts with potential employers. It may also be useful in obtaining Arranged Employment Opinion.
In order to qualify for this program, the client must fulfill three criteria:
1) The client must be willing to settle anywhere in Canada.
2) The client's occupation must be on the list of 29 occupations above.
3) The client must be available to commence employment immediately upon arrival.
